I am happy to announce that I will start my independent research group at ETH Zurich on June 1st 2016. We are interested in how the extracellular matrix (ECM) is maintained during aging. Prolonged ECM maintenance is required and sufficient for extending the lifespan of C. elegans (Ewald et al., 2015). I encourage students interested in aging to apply for a PhD position in our lab. For more information, please visit our lab webpage: ewaldlab.strikingly.com.
