About The Worm Breeder’s Gazette

What We Publish

The Worm Breeder’s Gazette publishes brief missives, methods, and experimental findings from the nematode research community in general, and the C. elegans community in particular.

How to Submit and Article

It’s really easy to submit an article to the Gazette:

  1. Register with the Gazette.
  2. Login.
  3. Prepare and submit your article.

The submission form allows you to save your progress and return at any time.

Editorial Policy

Generally, the Editors of the WBG will publish any articles thought to be of interest to the general C. elegans and nematode research field. We reserve the right to edit content for clarity, brevity, and formatting, including embedding links to third party resources like WormBase when appropriate.

In keeping with the spirit of the original Gazette, we constrain the lengths of articles. You are limited to the following:

  1. article text: no more than 600 words
  2. references: no more than 5
  3. figures: no more than 3

Publication Schedule

The Worm Breeder’s Gazette publishes articles on a rolling and as-submitted basis. There are no deadlines — submit your article at any time. In keeping with the spirit of the original printed Gazette, we periodically group articles into volumes, too.

Citing The Gazette

Abstracts contained here should not be cited in bibliographies. Material contained in the Worm Breeder’s Gazette should be treated as personal communication and should be cited as such only with the consent of the author.
