Comfort at the Microscope

Baillie Lab

For those of you who find long time stretches at the microscope
painful to your back or shoulders, we suggest you try the following: (
1) A wrist support, - i.e. a counterweighted wooden bar in front of
the microscope. This is sold in office furniture stores for
typewriters or computers (for lots of money). (2) A computer
'kneeling ' chair,- designed originally in Scandinavia but now copied
in a variety of ways by many companies.
