The First Ever WCS Baby Picture Contest.

Curt Jamison, Bruce Schatz

National Center for Supercomputing Applications Beckman Institute Drawer 25 405 N Mathews Avenue Urbana, IL 61801

OK, so we don't actually want baby pictures. We would however like a photo of
your favorite mutant. We will then incorporate the picture into WCS so that everyone
will be able to see how gorgeous your mutant really is.
What we'd like is an image of your mutant, the genotype, the name of the
photographer, and a short description of the deviations from wild type. If you need to
annotate the image to make the mutation clear (arrows, circles, etc.) please do so. We
will then link the image to the phenotype description of the allele. This project was one
suggested by participants at the WCS users' meeting (See accompanying article).
If you'd like to help, send the photographs and descriptions to me at the above
address. We have also set up an anonymous ftp site to put digital images at
csl.ncsa.uiuc.edu in the ftp/wormpics directory. We can handle most image formats,
but if you have a really weird one check with me first at jamison@csl.ncsa.uiuc.edu
and I'll let you know if I can cope with it.
