The Biomedical Technical Service Centre at the University of Calgary has recently made me a focusing device to be used in conjunction with time-lapse video recording with a Nomarski microscope. The mechanism can rotate the fine-focus knob through a range of up to 360 . The upper and lower focal planes for the particular specimen are set and the device slowly focuses up and down. If anyone is interested on obtaining one of these, please let me know. They are willing (in fact anxious) to make more and the price is fairly reasonable.
